Texel, The Netherlands

VisBlue's installation on the island of Texel in the Netherlands is part of the pilot project Low Carbon Off-Grid Communities (LOGIC), aimed at creating sustainable energy supply for a total of three remote locations in Europe.

To meet this goal, solar panels have been installed at the island's treatment plant and connected to a 40 kW VisBlue flow battery with 200 kWh. With the flow battery, an annual capacity of 102,000 kWh is achieved, providing a possible annual CO2 reduction of 163 tons.

The project is a collaboration between the Dutch company Contour, the Dutch authorities responsible for water management, and the Danish company VisBlue.
